This package includes a modified version of the UA Printer Setup (lpsetup in /usr/bin) which fixes the problem (by using uuname). Even after setting up a remote printer, you may still not be able to perform a remote print. One of the reasons is that the default lp interface file for remote printers tries to execute something that is not allowed on the remote host. The installation of a secured HDB uucp on the remote often causes this to happen. This package also includes two modified lp interface files (dumb-remote and second-remote in /usr/spool/lp/model) which depend less on how the remote is set up, therefore not compromising its uucp security. Original files (saved in /u/.LpSave during installation) will be restored when the package is removed. This package includes a modified version of the UA Printer Setup (lpsetup in /usr/bin) which fixes the problem (by using uuname). One of the reasons is that the default lp interface file for remote printers tries to execute something that is not allowed on the remote host. The installation of a secured HDB uucp on the remote often causes this to happen.
